Our FBLA & DECA Accomplishments
Sun Prairie West DECA and FBLA have merged into a combined chapter to give students more opportunities in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. This merger allows members to explore both DECA’s focus on marketing, finance, and management, and FBLA’s focus on business and technical skills. Together, we provide access to more competitions, leadership workshops, and community service opportunities.
Our chapter is one of the largest competitive clubs in the district and ranks among the top 10 in the state. We are proud to have both a national officer and a national council member, demonstrating our leadership at a high level. Last year, we raised approximately $2,000 for the March of Dimes and completed over 450 volunteer hours through partnerships with local organizations. We’re also working to establish a middle school chapter, while continuing to run our Member of the Month program and host guest speakers, including alumni and industry professionals. Additionally, we earned the Gold Champion Chapter award nationally and received a $1,000 reward for our achievements. Finally, one of our members was recently awarded as a state officer and is now a national officer!
